Even though this was the first isometric lattice-type print I made, the image ended up being a version of step 6 in the impossible lattice loop.
The main idea is the novelty of contradictions present in isometric perspective, but the design actually started out as an experiment with interlocking rings made up of the shapes here filling the plane. Things went in an entirely new direction when I started playing around with connecting these points.
