This set of four octahedrons show a progression of the first four iterations of a triangle-based surface-tiling curve.

The 8.5″ shell of the sculptures are constructed from paper accented with graphite.

The lines, covering every surface (even the bottom as arranged here), are made from wood painted with gold.

They are made to look as if they have weathered time while retaining the intricacy of their forms.
